The mask is tested to an international standard for eye safety IEC62471. This tests the amount of harmful light that is emitted that could cause skin harm and ocular damage. Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ FACE is perfectly safe to use without covering your eyes. In fact, if you don’t have time to relax with eyes closed for 10 minutes, you can keep them open and continue your day!

You will find when the device is first turned on, the light appears very bright. However, within a couple of minutes, your eyes adjust.

During the daytime, you’ll be able to move around and even read or work on a computer. When there is less light, the brightness of the LEDs may prevent you from reading; however, the brightness will become comfortable with eyes open or closed.

If you prefer to completely cover your eyes, pop a sleeping eye mask (like what you use on an aeroplane) on underneath Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ FACE. Other alternatives are bean bag eye pillows, or any soft, clean material or eye gel pads.
