What is your stance on animal testing?
Dp Dermaceuticals (as part of DermapenWorld) is firmly opposed to testing products on animals, and endorse the movement within the cosmetic industry to ensure animal testing is banned in the production of cosmetics and raw materials. We ensure our products are completely safe using non-animal approaches. It’s part of our business philosophy to operate in a sustainable and ethical manner in all that we do.
What eco-sustainability ideals is your company adopting?
DermapenWorld™ and its affiliated parties are very conscientious of the need to be eco-sustainable, and reducing our environmental footprint is a top priority. In 2020 we revealed the launch of our NEW Eco-Green Disposable Gloves. These address the necessary but wasteful single-use disposable issue by being biodegradable in a much shorter space of time—10 times faster than conventional nitrile gloves.
Where possible our containers use PCR (Post Consumed Recycled) materials and recycled glass. Due to some governmental regulations, laws still stipulate the need for external cartons/packaging. But we endeavour to use eco-friendly recycled paper (PEFC/FSC Paper), so that our cartons are 100% recyclable, sourced from well-managed forest facilities or recycled sources. We also encourage the reuse of external packaging if required.
As an Australian company, we love and respect our oceans. We only use natural exfoliators such as the bamboo extract found in MICRO DERM EXFOLIANT, rather than using plastic beads that damage marine life. We do not use chemical-based or banned substances in our sunscreens that are known to ruin our precious water supplies. Instead, we choose organic mineral-based physical sunscreen ingredients.
As an organisation, we align ourselves with like-minded organisations and charities. Together we will strive to improve our environmental footprint.

How much is the Dermapen 4?
The Dermapen 4™is an exciting breakthrough in the future of microneedling, currently available for professional aesthetic clinics and practitioners only. If you’re interested in the Dermapen 4 clinical device, please fill in our online form, and one of our Authorised Distributors will get in touch with pricing and other important information.
Why is the investment higher for Dermapen 4 compared with other microneedling devices?
Dermapen™ devices are the top of the range in the microneedling industry, and as such, require a higher investment than some online microneedling devices. There are many cheap copy pens and needles out there that don’t offer guaranteed or reliable results. When you purchase the genuine Dermapen™, you’re complying with the proper Protocol procedures to get the best possible results for you and your patients.
While the initial investment may be a little higher than the alternatives, the Dermapen 4™ attracts customers to your clinic like no other device. It also comes with a 7-year warranty. The genuine Dermapen 4 device delivers superior results and returns on investment, representing excellent value for your clinic.
Why can't I buy a Dermapen 4 in the UK?
Unfortunately, we can’t currently distribute Dermapen 4™ in the UK. While we’re working to overcome this hiccup, our Authorised Dermapen™ Distributor can provide an interim device. We don’t know when this situation will change, but you can contact us if you’d like to know more.
How do I update my Dermapen 4?
The Dermapen 4™ is a very advanced technical device, and like the iPhone, it will tell you when certain steps are required.
Updating is easy and only takes a few seconds. It only needs to be done every 60-90 days, and the device gives you a countdown of 30 days before you need to update.
Watch our easy-to-follow videos that show you how to update your device.
How long is the Dermapen 4 warranty?
The world’s most trusted and risk-free microneedling device comes with a 7-year, fully transferable, and unrestricted warranty, including parts and labour.
Can I use a Dermapen HOME device in a clinic setting?
The short answer is no. Here’s why:
The Dermapen HOME™ is for home use. It is designed to complement clinical treatments using the Dermapen 4™ device.
Dermapen HOME is a safer and easier alternative to home “rolling” thanks to the consistent Advanced Oscillating Vertical Needle™ (AOVN) Technology, the needle guide, and sterile disposable needle cartridges, with an adjustable depth from 0.1 – 0.5mm.
The professional Dermapen 4, on the other hand, has a variable depth up to 3mm to treat a wider range of skin concerns under the care of a trained professional. Why you purchase and register your Dermapen 4, you become one of our Authorised Treatment Providers, unlocking a world of advantage for your clinic.
Can I use the infusion needles without the pump?
Yes, both the MESO-INFUSION and PINPOINT 7 NEEDLE CARTRIDGES are compatible with Luer-lock syringes, so you can manually apply Meso-Solutions through the inbuilt fluid channel.
However, it can be awkward to syringe the right amount onto the skin during a procedure – especially if you’re using your non-dominant hand – resulting in wasted product, prolonged procedural times, and contamination risk.
Dermapen INFUSE™ pump system controls the amount and frequency of topical products applied to your patient’s skin and means you only have to use one hand. Learn more about Dermapen INFUSE.
What's the difference between the MESO-INFUSION and PINPOINT 7 NEEDLE CARTRIDGES?
The 7 ultrafine needles in the PINPOINT 7 cartridge are clumped together so closely that to the naked eye it looks like a single needle. The purpose of this needle is to drive a wider whole to break the surface to push the product into the skin. It’s perfect for concentrated scar treatment, tattoo removal, pitted scar treatment, and lip enhancement.
The 15 ultrafine needles in the MESO-INFUSION cartridge are slightly more spaced out. It’s perfect for more traditional microneedling procedures with the added bonus of the inbuilt fluid channel for seamless mesotherapy. It allows for easy continuous application of PRP or Meso-Tox with controlled delivery.
Which Dermapen devices are compatible with Dermapen INFUSE?
Dermapen INFUSE™ is compatible with the Dermapen 4™ and Dermapen PRO™ using the MESO-INFUSION or PINPOINT 7 NEEDLE CARTRIDGE.

What's the difference between a professional grade device and an at-home device?
The Dermapen HOME™ is for home use. It’s designed to complement clinical treatments using the Dermapen 4™. The Dermapen HOME needles are fully adjustable from 0.1mm–0.5mm and are suitable for visibly improving the appearance of wrinkles, pigmentation, problematic skin breakouts and more. The depth is also ideal for infusion of Meso Fluids, such as HYLA ACTIVE™.
For any deeper penetration, we highly recommend professional Dermapen (Dermapen 4) procedures where your skin is assessed and the required penetration depth determined. Deeper penetration also requires a sterile environment for risk-free and safe Protocols.
What's the difference between a genuine DermapenWorld device and other copy pens?
Dermapen™ was the world’s first vertical microneedling device in the market. As its creators, we provide unparalleled technical and clinical know-how to all of our providers globally. There are now a lot of “copy” pens out there which are trying to emulate Dermapen’s success. Unfortunately, we’ve seen some negative results with these devices due to the depth, thickness, and/or sharpness of the needles. We cannot guarantee the results and the safety of those procedures.
We have invested many years of research into developing and manufacturing the Dermapen 1, 2, 3 and now the 4th generation of device. Dermapen 4™ offers far superior results, and less pain and downtime, than any other product on the market. Learn more about what sets us apart.
Will I get the same results with a cheaper copy pen?
We’ve seen some negative results with copy devices due to the depth, thickness, and/or sharpness of the needles.
How much downtime is required after a professional Dermapen 4 procedure?
Generally none, but you may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment. Applying Dp Dermaceuticals™ COVER RECOVER™ seals and calms the skin and covers any redness for an immediate return to daily activities.
I'm not a professional, but can I buy a professional-grade Dermapen?
Dermapen HOME is the proven, natural way to fix your skin concerns from home. A treatment takes just 10 minutes, and in 2-6 sessions has been shown to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and pigmentation, heal acne and pimples, minimise pores, improve skin texture by plumping the thinning skin, and reduce visible rosacea symptoms. It works by creating thousands of microchannels in the skin with little to no discomfort, which induces the production of collagen and allows the active ingredients in your serums to penetrate deeper into the skin. Dermapen HOME has an adjustable depth from 0.1 – 0.5mm. This means less skin damage, less downtime, and incredible results—faster.
For deeper treatments, visit your nearest Authorised Treatment Provider where your skin is assessed and the required penetration depth determined. Deeper penetration also requires a sterile environment for risk-free and safe Protocols.
Can the Dermapen needle cartridge be reused?
No. We recommend only using the needles once to ensure safe procedures with sterile and sharp needles.
What area will the needle cartridge cover before it needs replacing?
The needle cartridges for the Dermapen 4 will cover an area the size of an A4 piece of paper before the sharpness is compromised. It’s not recommended to cover a size greater than this area in one procedure(If using TLA – Topical Local Anaesthetic).
What does ACM stand for?
ACM stands for Anti-Contamination Management™. It covers our range of contamination prevention technology and products that help protect you during a procedure.
Why did you create ACM range?
One thing that has consistently set DermapenWorld™ apart has been the stringent measures we go to, ensuring that any clinic that uses our products has everything they need to provide the safest and most sterile treatments.
Even before the global pandemic, we invested heavily in our range of Anti-Contamination Management™ (ACM) Initiatives.
We consider every single touchpoint that could put your skin, wellbeing and safety at risk and, in response, have created a range of solutions that deflect the chances of cross-contamination.
Why is ACM such a revolutionary concept in needle cartridges?
The risks involved with Dermapen™ alternatives, such as microneedling with a generic device or derma rolling, are that pathogenic contaminants can enter the cartridge of the device during the procedure and pose a risk of cross-contamination. As with any procedure, you need to take precautions when choosing whether it’s right for you and whether there are any potential risks
The Dermapen 4™ NEEDLE CARTRIDGE offers unrivalled safety and protection guaranteed. No fluid backflow, no cross-contamination, and no drag.
What are some of the dangers of cross-contamination?
Any treatment that punctures the skin requires the strictest infection control to prevent cross-infection. Harmful microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses can occur between the patient and practitioner if sterile/aseptic procedures are not followed or if unsanitary equipment is used. As little as a naked finger touching a piece of equipment and then a face during a procedure can cause damage to your health and wellbeing.
How does the ACM range deflect the risk of contamination?
As part of our company policies, DermapenWorld™ places huge importance on education, protocols and hygiene (sterile procedures) for the safety of both our practitioners and patients.
Our contamination prevention series offers triple-level protection to support safe microneedling procedures, by mitigating the risk of contaminants from the patient, practitioner, and device, for ultimate procedural safety.
Are there any environmental considerations?
We care about the environment and are always looking for ways to create more sustainable products. Our ECO-GREEN DISPOSABLE EXAMINATION GLOVES are fully biodegradable, so you don’t have to worry about more landfill.
The ACM™ PROTECTION SHIELD is economical, eco-friendly and reusable. The special 99.99% antibacterial transparent film with a special anti-fog session can be washed ready for your next patient.
Is Dermapen 4 a regulated medical device?
Dermapen 4 holds a CE mark approval. The CE marking means that Dermapen 4 meets the essential requirements of all relevant European Medical Device Directives. The Directives outline the safety and performance requirements for medical devices in the European Union (EU). The CE mark is a legal requirement to place a device on the market in the EU. The CE marking is also applied for the Dermapen 4 needles.
Dermapen 4 also holds the ISO13485 certificate.

How do I order Dp Dermaceuticals for my clinic?
Our Authorised Treatment Providers order their Dp Dermaceuticals products via their local Authorised DermapenWorld™ Distributor. Find out more about joining the DermapenWorld family.
Dp Dermaceuticals
What products should I use when microneedling?
You need to be very careful when needling products into your skin. Our Dp Dermaceuticals™ are the non negotiables when skin needling. They’re designed to support the skin at every stage of a Dermapen Treatment™.
Our proven Protocols include combinations of products that target the appearance of your specific concern. All our products have been designed to work in perfect harmony with each other for daily use and during clinical and at-home microneedling procedures.
What's a Meso-Glide?
Our Meso-Glides™ are the products you apply topically to help the Dermapen™ move effortlessly across your skin. During the microneedling process, the active ingredients are infused (needled) into your skin for greater absorption and superior results.
Care should be taken when needling products into your skin. Our active Meso-Glide combinations have proven protocol outcomes. They are endorsed by thousands of practitioners around the globe, for safe, active ingredient infusion into the skin without risks of negative side effects.
How do Dp Dermaceuticals products differ from those found at my local supermarket or pharmacy?
Our skincare range was specifically developed to help strengthen, nurture, and nourish your skin before, during, and after your microneedling or other rejuvenation processes. It’s the only skincare range that is DermapenWorld™ approved and which has been specifically designed to be safely infused into the skin. The high quality and abundant bio-compatible actives included in Dp Dermaceuticals™ are designed to be delivered deeper into the skin for superior results.
Why is it non negotiable to use Dp Dermaceuticals products before and after microneedling or other rejuvenation processes?
Pre- and post-treatment skincare is essential for all skin resurfacing treatments, including laser, microneedling, microdermabrasion or chemical peels. Using Dp Dermaceuticals™ products recommended by your skin specialist helps strengthen and nourish the skin prior to a procedure. Following any skin enhancement procedure, your skin needs hydration, antimicrobial cleansing, and sun protection to properly heal and give you the very best results. Our starter kits are the ideal way to experience products specially developed for your pre- and post-procedural skincare needs.
Why do you call your products the 'Non Negotiables'?
Dp Dermaceuticals™ products were specifically created to be used pre-, during and post-Dermapen™ microneedling and other rejuvenation procedures. They are the ‘Non Negotiable’ products as they are the only recommended and approved range that can be safely infused into the skin for beneficial results without potential risks.
Is it Ok to use other products with Dermapen and other rejuvenation processes?
Our products include potent active ingredients specifically chosen to help build up the skin quality prior to treatment, as well as to be used during and after treatment to soothe and nourish skin and enhance results. In addition, other skincare ranges may not be safe for infusion, and often contain molecules that are too large to allow for free movement of actives within the skin. Choosing Dp Dermaceuticals™ ensures optimal treatment results.
How does HylaFuse work?
HylaFuse™ contains 3 molecular sizes of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), the smallest of which can penetrate the deepest layers of the skin. HylaFuse is clinically proven to be absorbed 150% more effectively than other forms of HA. Dp Dermaceuticals™ products containing HylaFuse Complex continue delivering water and active ingredients up to 8 hours after application.
What's the expiry date on your products?
The date on the packaging of Dp Dermaceuticals™ reflects the manufacturing date. The use-by date for our Dp Dermaceuticals is 24 months from opening, and there’s a symbol (like an open jar) on the packaging to indicate this.
Do they contain nut products?
Some of our products contain olive, shea, jojoba or almond oil which are derived from either nuts or seeds. Check with your clinician for further information. Each product has been clinically washed to ensure purity and to reduce any possible reaction to nature’s ingredients.
Are your products made with natural ingredients.
We use the very best vitamins, minerals, botanical, natural and, wherever possible, organic ingredients from nature to nourish and hydrate your skin. However, we also believe that the best results are achieved when nature meets modern skincare science. This synergy of plant-based ingredients and clinically proven active ingredients results in products that feel beautiful on the skin but are also effective in reaching the deeper skin layers. The result is plumper, smoother, and younger-looking skin.
Are your products safe?
Our Dp Dermaceuticals™ products are hypoallergenic (unlikely to cause an allergic reaction) and manufactured to the highest GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) approved standards. This means that each ingredient is selected for optimum performance and safety to the highest level possible following stringent criteria. Each active ingredient is encapsulated in the HylaFuse™ delivery system or weighted in larger HylaFuse molecules, enabling it to be delivered to the correct area within the skin before it’s released to action. We use safe preservatives and are vegan-friendly* and animal cruelty-free. *With the exception of CLR LOTION,CLR FOAM CLEANSER and MG-CLR which contain honey, and SSSCAR which contains beeswax.
Are your products tested on animals?
Dp Dermaceuticals™ is firmly opposed to testing products on animals, and endorse the movement within the cosmetic industry to ensure animal testing is banned in the production of cosmetics and raw materials. We ensure our products are completely safe using non-animal approaches. It’s part of our business philosophy to operate in a sustainable and ethical manner in all that we do.
At-Home Devices
What's the difference between a professional grade device and an at-home device?
The Dermapen HOME™ is for home use. It’s designed to complement clinical treatments using the Dermapen 4™. The Dermapen HOME needles are fully adjustable from 0.1mm–0.5mm and are suitable for visibly improving the appearance of wrinkles, pigmentation, problematic skin breakouts and more for at-home use.
Does Dermapen HOME have a cord?
Yes. The Dermapen HOME™ does have a cord. The reason why the current Dermapen HOME is not battery operated is to ensure that there’s enough power for the Advanced Oscillating Vertical Needling™ (AOVN) Technology to work. The incredible speed of the Dermapen HOME is what makes it so comfortable and effective.
Do I need a license or training to use a Dermapen HOME?
The Dermapen HOME™ is for home use and doesn’t require a license. It is designed to complement clinical treatments.
Dermapen HOME is a safer and easier alternative to home “rolling” thanks to the consistent Advanced Oscillating Vertical Needle™ (AOVN), the needle guide, and sterile disposable needle cartridges. It should be used together with Dp Dermaceuticals, the NON-NEGOTIABLES when skin needling.
Please remember that at-home treatments are to be performed at superficial depths. That’s why Dermapen HOME has an adjustable depth from 0.1 – 0.5mm.
The professional Dermapen 4™, on the other hand, has a variable depth up to 3mm to treat a wider range of skin concerns under the care of a trained professional.
Download our free, comprehensive How To Use Guide, full of expert tips, so you can start using your Dermapen HOME straight away.
Why don't you make a home device with deeper needles?
There’s a lot of documented evidence that just because you can needle deeper, it does not necessarily provide you better results.
Many other factors affect this, such as the frequency of the treatment, the number of times the device passes over the skin, and the products used.
For penetration deeper than 0.5mm, we highly recommend professional Dermapen Treatments™ where your skin is assessed and the required depth determined. Find your nearest clinic to book a consultation.
Which is better, in-clinic or at-home microneedling procedures?
There really is no better alternative. Both our at-home and in-clinic solutions are designed to get the most out of each other. You’ll get the best results by following our DermapenWorld™ Protocols which include in-clinic procedures supported with at-home microneedling and a twice-daily Dp Dermaceuticals™ routine.
How many RPMs does the Dermapen HOME make?
At full speed, Dermapen HOME™ creates 1290 micro channels per second, which equals approximately 110 revolutions per second.
How long until I see results?
Try to perform at least 4 – 8 procedures, spacing them out by 7 – 10 days. You’ll notice the results improve significantly with frequent, repeated use. Some skin concerns will noticeably improve after only 1 or 2 procedures; however, others may take a little longer. After the desired results are achieved, maintenance procedures may be required. This means using your Dermapen HOME™ every 1 – 2 months, depending on your age, lifestyle or skin condition.
For the best results, we recommend using Dermapen HOME to complement professional microneedling procedures in a clinic setting.
Does it hurt?
One of the biggest benefits of Dermapen HOME™ is that it’s so comfortable you don’t require any numbing cream. Thanks to AOVN™ Technology, the needles penetrate your skin with consistent vertical pressure, resulting in less pain and downtime.
Dermapen HOME needles are adjustable between 0.1mm and 0.5mm. There’s no risk of skin damage or infection at this depth. Calm any redness or irritation after your procedure with Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ FACE or recommended Dp Dermaceuticals™ aftercare products.
Will it work for scarred skin?
For scarring we recommend you visit a clinic as a deeper needle depth is required to treat this type of skin tissue. Dermapen HOME™ is a fantastic solution for signs of ageing, acne and breakouts, uneven skin tone and redness with a safe maximum needle depth of 0.5mm.
Is Dermapen HOME the same as the one used in a clinic?
No, the Dermapen™ devices used in clinics can go deeper than Dermapen HOME™ because trained professionals operate them. The Dermapen HOME is the perfect home device, offering you real results without the risk of adverse reactions.
How is Dermapen HOME effective even though it's a shallower depth?
Yes! Dermapen HOME™ has been designed to be completely safe for home-use while delivering the proven results we’re trusted for. Performing deeper treatments without training or a sterile clinical setting put you at risk infection and adverse reactions.
It has been shown that depth is NOT the most important factor when it comes to achieving outstanding microneedling results. Treating yourself every 7–10 days at home with Dermapen HOME at these adjustable superficial depths will achieve amazing, visible results. Our AOVN™ Technology combined with the powerful spring mechanism that propels the incredibly fine and sharp needles into the promised depth makes Dermapen HOME the highest quality home-device available.
We also guarantee the true needle depth through rigorous testing. It’s no good having a certain claimed needle length if the mechanism doesn’t have the strength to push it effectively into the skin. Dermapen HOME consistently delivers real results, safely.
Does it come with a warranty?
Yes, we want you to feel completely confident at every step of your skin journey with us.
For the first 12 months of ownership, the warranty covers manufacturing defects that affect device operation. Any performance malfunction due to defects in manufacturing will be repaired or replaced during the warranty period.

Do I need numbing cream for microneedling treatments?
Not with Dermapen™.
There’s no need for numbing creams with both our home Dermapen HOME™ and our professional devices, thanks to our AOVN™ Technology. Our needles are ultrafine to create the most slender microchannels in the skin and are made from the highest quality steel which won’t blunt or burr in the skin. The powerful motor ensures the device treats at speeds which greatly minimise the skin sensation, and the device glides almost painlessly across the surface.
Can I use Dermapen HOME to plump my skin on the day of a special event?
Yes, this is a great idea! Dial down to a shallower needle depth and treat any areas you would like a quick boost, around the eyes, lips, and forehead are popular places.
Does the Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D. range emit harmful rays?
The mask is tested to an international standard for eye safety IEC62471. This tests the amount of harmful light that is emitted that could cause skin harm and ocular damage. It’s a standard that’s used by many light device manufacturers and is necessary for FDA clearance as well as other international regulatory bodies.
Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ masks pass the standard and do not contain any harmful UV, and a trace (around 0.0001%) of IR. Even on a cloudy day, you would receive more UV and IR from sitting outside reading a book.
My Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D. device isn't turning on.
Check you’ve pressed the button for at least 2 seconds. It sounds obvious, but occasionally people simply need to hold the button for longer.
If that doesn’t work, please get in touch so we can assist you further.
Why does my Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D. device have imperfections in the silicone?
It’s totally normal to see some imperfections in the silicone. These are due to the nature of the material and have zero impact on the performance of your device.
Can I use DP Dermaceuticals L.E.D. with Dermapen microneedling procedures?
Yes! Red (633nm) light rays encourage healing, rescuing you from uncomfortable and unsightly redness or inflammation. A session of Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ helps reduce post-operative inflammation after Dermapen™ microneedling procedures.
Can I treat multiple parts of my body?
Yes! Your face, neck, chest and hands are some of the first areas to start displaying the signs of ageing and can begin to look thin, uneven and unhealthy.
The Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ range offers a seamless rejuvenation. They all deliver the same optimised intensities of red (633nm) and near-infrared (830nm) wavelengths to naturally plump, firm, and smooth your skin.
Can I use Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D. to soothe pain?
Yes! Prolonged use of Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ is clinically proven to not only to improve the overall look of your skin but can be used to alleviate pain as it increases blood flow and relaxes muscles.
Can I move around with the mask on?
Yes! An LED mask session is the perfect moment to enjoy some time out, either sitting up or lying down in a comfortable position, breathing deeply. However, we understand that sometimes life is busy. The Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ masks are fully portable, so you can multitask.
How is the Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D. powered?
The mask uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery rated at 9.62Wh / 2200mAH. This means you aren’t plugged in for your session and can move freely.
The battery is powerful enough to last for several treatments. The indicator on the control shows you how much power is left so you’ll always know when to recharge.
How long is your warranty?
We want you to feel completely confident at every step of your skin journey with us.
For the first 12 months of ownership, the warranty covers manufacturing defects that affect device operation. Any performance malfunction due to defects in manufacturing will be repaired or replaced during the warranty period.
Please note the warranty does not cover damages due to:
- User faults by lack of care or negligence.
- Unauthorised electric currency connection faults.
- Faults by the users own intention/dismantle or repairs.
- Damages caused by a natural disaster, such as fire, flood, earthquake, lightning, etc.
- Replacement of genuine parts.
The light hurts my eyes, is it damaging?
Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ FACE is perfectly safe to use without covering your eyes. In fact, if you don’t have time to relax with eyes closed for 10 minutes, you can keep them open and continue your day!
You will find when the device is first turned on, the light appears very bright. However, within a couple of minutes, your eyes adjust.
During the daytime, you’ll be able to move around and even read or work on a computer. When there is less light, the brightness of the LEDs may prevent you from reading; however, the brightness will become comfortable with eyes open or closed.
If you prefer to completely cover your eyes, pop a sleeping eye mask (like what you use on an aeroplane) on underneath Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ FACE. Other alternatives are bean bag eye pillows, or any soft, clean material or eye gel pads.
Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ automatically turns off after 10 minutes. You may wish to keep your eyes closed for a further 30 seconds to give them time to adjust again.
How often can I safely treat myself with L.E.D. at home?
Proven results occur when Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ is used 3–4 times per week for 4 weeks. You can safely increase this to daily use and even double dose if you’re not ready to finish your treatment after 10 minutes.
Why don't you have blue light in Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D. masks?
Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ only uses wavelengths that rejuvenate the skin. Other colours that have not been clinically tested could be harmful or ineffective.
Care must be taken with blue light, as it has been associated with damaging effects on the eyes, and some home devices have been recalled.
Blue light’s main role is to kill P. acnes bacteria, but it’s possible to kill the P. acnes bacteria in other ways. Dp Dermaceuticals™ microbial cleanser CLINIPREP™ kills 99.9% of bacteria, viruses, fungus, and spores, whilst promoting faster healing.
After CLINIPREP™ has dried on your skin, apply a mixture of HYLA ACTIVE™ and CLR LOTION™(allow to fully absorb) before using the Dp Dermaceuticals L.E.D.™ This method allows for greater absorption of these acne-fighting ingredients due to the Red and Near-Infrared light.
Dermapen Treatments
What is Dermapen?
Dermapen™ is a medically engineered device that delivers world-leading microneedling procedures. Multiple procedures provide a long-lasting rejuvenation and correction for the face and body skin. Learn more about the Dermapen microneedling difference.
What makes Dermapen so unique?
Only Dermapen™ uses a specialised spring-loaded cartridge that is automated by an oscillating system, delivering fast, fractional, and virtually painless procedures that are non-ablative. Dermapen’s patented technology delivers vertical channels into the skin minimising damage, downtime, and discomfort. Customising speed and depth for each procedure leads to targeted results.
Dermapen offers the latest, most innovative, and most awarded microneedling system in the world. Learn more about our sophisticated technology.
How does Dermapen compare to other methods of skin rejuvenation?
Dermapen™ procedures are non-thermal and non-ablative. Procedures may be performed on all skin tones reducing any risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or fibrotic scar tissue formation.
What's a Dermapen Treatment?
Dermapen Treatment™ is the overarching term for the period in which a specific skin concern is targeted with a series of professional Dermapen microneedling procedures, following strict DermapenWorld™ Protocols. The patient is required to support clinical efforts with prescribed at-home skincare Protocols. Dermapen Treatments are designed and proven to get the best results.
Deviating from our Protocols, either in a clinic setting or at home, cannot be classified as a Dermapen Treatment. It’s simply a microneedling procedure with a Dermapen™ device.
How long does a Dermapen procedure take?
A full-face can be treated in as little as 10 minutes.
Where can I get Dermapen Treatments?
To find a local DermapenWorld™ Authorised Treatment Provider you can use the Find A Clinic feature on our website.
How much do Dermapen Treatments cost?
As the manufacturers of Dermapen™, we don’t provide treatments. However, we have a large range of Authorised Treatment Providers around the world that do. Search for a clinic near you for pricing.
Do Dermapen Treatments hurt?
Of all the microneedling devices in the world, the Dermapen 4™ is far less painful.
We don’t even recommend numbing the area beforehand because it’s so comfortable. Our correct DermapenWorld™ Protocols and aftercare are designed to soothe and camouflage any visible redness or sensation of heat. We call it a “lunchtime procedure” as you’re able to carry on with your daily routine immediately afterwards.
Can Dermapen Treatments tear or scratch the skin?
No. Dermapen™’s unique vertical needles provide fractional rejuvenation that does not compromise the integrity of the skin. The Advanced Oscillation Vertical Needle™ Technology moves so quickly that the Dermapen effortlessly glides across the skin.
Are Dermapen Treatments safe?
Yes. Only a qualified practitioner may perform Dermapen clinical procedures under strict sterile conditions. All treatment consumables are single-use and sterile.
What's the downtime?
Localised erythema may last up to 2 days post-procedure. COVER RECOVER™ may be used immediately following a procedure to reduce any visible redness. Most patients can resume normal activities immediately after a clinical procedure.
What are DermapenWorld Protocols?
Our proven DermapenWorld™ Protocols are highly sought-after in the microneedling community and are exclusively available to our Authorised Treatment Providers. They offer step-by-step guides to achieving outstanding results through a series of clinical and at-home microneedling procedures.
How long until I see results?
Results typically may be seen after just one clinical procedure. However, cumulative procedures and at-home Protocols may be required to achieve the full desired result. The regenerating process will continue for up to 24 months following a procedure.
Which clinic should I go to?
All clinics that perform Dermapen Treatments™ are highly trained before they start using the equipment. The professionals need to have a certificate to operate our device. Search for a clinic close to you.
Can I use Dermapen Treatments in combination with PRP?
Yes. You can combine Dermapen Treatments™ with PRP. Normally the PRP is applied to the skin directly after the Dermapen™ microneedling procedure for better infusion. The Blood Platelets from the PRP extraction could also be applied to the skin (or mixed with HYLA ACTIVE™ and then applied) and then needled into the skin.
DermapenWorld™ does not endorse any particular brand of PRP systems, so it’s best to speak with a qualified treatment provider to get more information about the PRP method they use.
Are Dermapen Treatments safe during pregnancy?
If you’re pregnant or lactating, we recommend seeking medical permission first.
Should I go to a clinic or use the Dermapen HOME to get the best results?
The fastest way to achieve ultimate results is to support a series of professional clinical procedures with Dermapen HOME™ procedures at home.
Learn more about our synergy of solutions.
What precautions are you taking during the COVID pandemic?
We have spent years developing our ACM™ Initiatives, which we employ across our devices and supply to our clinics.
ACM stands for Anti-Contamination Management. One thing that sets DermapenWorld™ apart has always been the stringent measures we go to, ensuring that any clinic that uses our products has everything they need to provide the safest and most sterile treatments. Our ACM Initiatives include everything from protective gear and needle cartridge technology through to our antimicrobial solution CLINIPREP™.

- Rosacea

How often should I have microneedling for my skin concern?
Our Authorised Treatment Providers are equipped with our tried and tested Protocols, including detailed treatment guidelines for each skin concern. These are developed to give the skin enough time to recover between procedures, which is when the rejuvenation occurs. You can find estimations for the number of procedures and how far apart they should be scheduled on our Dermapen Treatments™ page.
Can I use the Dermapen HOME on my scalp to help hair growth?
Dermapen Treatments™ can work to reverse hair loss or thinning hair, but we recommend that you consult an Authorised Treatment Provider to determine the right course of action. They will determine the required needle depth and can also advise you on any supporting medication or PRP treatments for successful hair growth. Find a clinic near you today.
Can you have a Dermapen microneedling procedure if you have an open wound?
The Dermapen™ device is designed to tighten, lift, and rejuvenate skin. We don’t recommend using it on an open wound. Wait for the area to heal and then proceed.
Do Dermapen Treatments lighten the appearance of dark circles under eyes?
Yes! Dermapen Treatments™ work very well for dark circles under the eyes in two ways.
1. The treatment helps build skin thickness and quality. Therefore, thin transparent skin that causes dark circles is improved.
2. If the dark circles are caused by pigmentation, your clinician may use Dp Dermaceuticals HYLA ACTIVE™ and BRITE LITE™ as the Meso-Glide medium for great results.
Do Dermapen Treatments improve the appearance of scars?
Yes! Dermapen 4™ has a feature that treats different types of scars. If Dp Dermaceutical products as SSSCAR™ and RETINAL ACTIVE™ are also used, the results are even better.
Find an Authorised Treatment Provider for an initial consultation.
Does Dermapen improve the appearance of veins?
While Dermapen™ can provide a visual reduction in some telangiectasia, the treatments are not designed to treat or target veins.
Do I need to use any other products alongside Dermapen Treatments to get results?
You need to be very careful when needling products into your skin. Our Dp Dermaceuticals™ are the non negotiables when skin needling. They’re designed to support the skin at every stage of a Dermapen Treatment™.
Our proven Protocols include combinations of products that target the appearance of your specific concern. All our products have been designed to work in perfect harmony with each other for daily use and during clinical and at-home microneedling procedures.
How can Dermapen successfully treat so many different skin concerns?
Dermapen™ stimulates the skin’s healing response encouraging the production of precious growth factors, collagen, and elastin for a naturally rejuvenated, revitalised, and regenerated skin.
The process also involves needling in potent actives from our targeted skincare range Dp Dermaceuticals™. It’s the only skincare range that is DermapenWorld™ approved and which has been specifically designed to be safely infused into the skin. The high quality and abundant bio-compatible actives included in Dp Dermaceuticals are designed to be delivered deeper into the skin. We’ve created a range that can be mixed and matched depending on your skin concerns for superior results.
