I wouldn’t recommend DermaPen World UK based on my experience.
I purchased a DermaPen 4 for £2,907 on 28th February and received it on 11th March. After payment, I didn’t hear anything for over two weeks, no communication, no training, no support. It was only after I left a negative review that a rep, Frank, finally got in touch and arranged a visit for 3rd April.
Unfortunately, not long after that visit, the device completely failed during a paid microneedling treatment. It wouldn’t even switch on. I was mortified in front of my client and had to cancel a £180 treatment. I offered a free chemical peel worth £120 resulting in a business hit of £300.
I had 8 clients booked over the following days and 4 clients who had prepaid £500 each for treatment packages. I’ve since had to refund every single one of them. As a small clinic, this was a huge financial and emotional blow.
While Frank did offer a demo device and returned my old Raffine pen, the damage had already been done. A brand-new device failing during a treatment, combined with the lack of initial communication and support, is just not what I expected from such a well-known brand.
I received a call from Nick at head office, who was incredibly rude and dismissive. Rather than acknowledging the fault with the device, I felt I was being blamed. It’s disappointing how quickly a company’s true colours show when things go wrong.
I’ve now returned the DermaPen and my refund has been processed but the overall experience has left me extremely disappointed.
I would strongly urge other small business owners to think twice before investing in DermaPen World UK.
I initially registered using my clinic's formal email address on a Samsung S24 Ultra, but the app remained inactive, and the issue couldn't be resolved. I was advised to try a different email, yet I encountered the same problem. Ultimately, I was only able to complete the Dermapen registration after switching to an Apple iPad—two weeks after purchasing the Dermapen 4. This delay and compatibility issue were frustrating and should be addressed for a smoother user experience.
